Clone a Profitable SaaS With One Emergent Prompt

This is the copying-profitable-apps method. Find a product that already makes money, hand its URL to Emergent with one prompt, and it builds you a real, working, monetizable SaaS under your own brand, plus the versus pages and blogs to outrank every competitor. Here is the exact process and the one prompt that runs it.

What this actually does

You find an app that is already profitable, then hand its URL to an AI builder with one prompt. It studies the product, works out the one feature people actually come for, and rebuilds it as a real, working app under your own brand. Not a screenshot, the core feature genuinely functions.

Then it does the part most people miss. It wires up pricing and plans so it can make MRR, researches every competitor in the niche and builds a versus page to outrank each one, spins up hundreds of SEO blogs, and makes every result shareable so it spreads on its own.

Step 1: Find a profitable app to copy

Open TrustMRR and sort the list by revenue, high to low. You are looking for a product that is already making money and is easy to rebuild: one clear core feature, not a sprawling platform.

In the video I picked a face-scoring app doing around $16K a month. Copy the URL of whatever profitable app you land on, you will drop it into the prompt next.

Step 2: Open Emergent

Emergent is the AI builder doing all the heavy lifting here. It crawls the target, builds the real working product, wires the payments and auth, and deploys it live, all from one prompt. Start a project, then paste the prompt below into it.

Step 3: Paste this one prompt

Drop your target app's URL into the prompt where it says [PASTE THE TARGET URL HERE], then paste the whole thing into Emergent.

The trick is in the defaults. Every setup choice is already decided for you, so Emergent never stops to interrogate you, it just builds and ships.

Build me a complete, production-ready SaaS: the ACTUAL WORKING PRODUCT at [PASTE THE TARGET URL HERE], rebuilt as my own brand and genuinely BETTER. Not a marketing clone, the real functional tool, with accounts, a pricing and payments system, a full marketing site, SEO, viral sharing, and polished design, deployed live and ready to make MRR.

DECIDE EVERYTHING YOURSELF. DO NOT STOP TO ASK ME. Assume all of these defaults and just build:
- Brand: invent a strong, memorable brand name and one-line tagline that fit the niche. If I paste my own at the very end, use mine instead.
- Stack: Next.js (App Router) + TypeScript + Tailwind, a real database (use whatever this environment gives you, MongoDB is fine), server-rendered for SEO, deployed live with a public URL.
- AI engine: use the built-in universal LLM key in this environment, no key from me. For the core analysis pick the fastest, cheapest, capable vision model yourself (Gemini Flash or similar).
- Auth: use the platform's managed sign-in (Google + email). Do not make me set up any cloud console.
- Payments: build the FULL pricing, upgrade flow, usage limits, and billing portal, but run Stripe in test mode. Do NOT ask me for keys, wire it so I drop live keys in later and it goes live.
- Generate real finished content. No lorem ipsum, no placeholders, no "coming soon", no fake features. It works on first use.

STEP 1, STUDY THE TARGET. Crawl the URL and work out exactly what it does: core function, exact inputs and outputs, every feature, pricing, and limits. List where it is weak (slow, limited, clunky, paywalled too early, missing features). My version does the same core job and beats it on concrete points. Never copy its text, branding, or trademarks. This is my own better version.

STEP 2, BUILD THE REAL WORKING PRODUCT. Build the actual tool end to end: real inputs, real AI processing, real outputs. Make it demonstrably better, faster, cleaner, fewer limits, and at least 3 features they do not have, and show in the UI what makes it better. Real accounts, a dashboard, and saved history of past results.

STEP 3, MONETIZE IT. A genuinely useful free tier, then monthly and annual paid plans: clean upgrade flow, limits on free, unlocked volume on paid, billing portal to manage and cancel. Ready to take real recurring payments the moment I add keys.

STEP 4, PAGES VS BLOG. Pages (static, commercial intent, in the nav): Home with the live product front and center, Features, Pricing with its own FAQ, use-case pages, About, Contact, plus programmatic landing pages for high-intent long-tail. Blog (informational, dated, categorized): a pillar and cluster model, seed 12+ real 800 to 1500 word posts, each with one H1, a TL;DR, internal links to the money pages, an author byline, and a CTA into the product.

STEP 5, OUTRANK EVERY COMPETITOR (the weapon). Research the market and find the REAL, named top 8 to 12 competitors and alternatives in this exact category. Do not invent them, search them out. For EACH one, build a dedicated versus page at /vs/[competitor]: an honest side by side ("where they are strong" and "where I win"), a feature and pricing table, an FAQ, and a clear CTA, written to rank for "[competitor] alternative" and "[my brand] vs [competitor]". Add category pages: "best [category] tool", "best [competitor] alternative", and "[product] for [use case]". Then generate a large comparison-driven blog cluster, hundreds of posts at scale, every long-tail question in the niche, each one internally linked to the versus pages and the money pages. Full technical SEO on everything: per-page title, meta, canonical, Open Graph and Twitter cards, a per-page OG image, JSON-LD (Organization, WebSite, SoftwareApplication, Article, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, Product and Offer), an FAQ block on every key page, internal linking everywhere, auto sitemap.xml and robots.txt, clean slugs. Target 95+ Lighthouse on Performance and SEO.

STEP 6, MAKE IT GO VIRAL. Every result is one-tap shareable via the Web Share API with desktop fallbacks (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Reddit, copy link, download image). Every result gets a permanent, indexable /r/[id] page, branded, with a "make your own" CTA, that is the viral loop and it ranks. Auto-generate a dynamic OG image per result so shares unfurl as a clean branded card. If the niche fits, add a public leaderboard or battle so people share to climb it.

STEP 7, DESIGN. One bold, cohesive aesthetic that fits the niche, never default purple-on-white slop. A real design system: CSS-variable color tokens, a type scale pairing a distinctive display font with a clean body font, 8pt spacing, consistent radius and shadow. A real hero with the working product usable immediately, a social-proof strip, alternating feature sections, scannable pricing, a full footer, tasteful motion, and flawless mobile-first responsive.

STEP 8, SHIP. Deploy it live and give me the URL. Confirm the product works, sign-up works, and the test-mode payment flow works end to end. Then hand me a punch list of what to expand, and the top 10 keywords each money page and versus page targets.

Build the whole thing end to end, the working product first, then everything around it. Do not pause between steps. Ship a complete, working, monetizable, SEO-loaded, beautifully designed SaaS I could launch and charge for today.

[Optional, paste at the end if you want to pick your own: BRAND NAME = ____ , TAGLINE = ____]

Why it's one prompt, not ten

Most people get this method half-working because the builder keeps stopping to ask: what's the brand, which AI model, what are your Stripe keys, which auth, which database. Every question is a chance for the build to stall.

This prompt answers all of them up front. It tells Emergent to name the brand itself, use the built-in AI key, run payments in test mode (so you never hand over keys), use managed Google and email sign-in, and use whatever database is there. So it builds the working product first, then the marketing site, the SEO, and the viral loop around it, without pausing once.

The weapon: outrank every competitor

This is the part that compounds. The prompt makes Emergent research the real, named competitors in your niche, then build a dedicated versus page for each one.

For a face-scoring app that means honest side-by-side pages against the likes of Umax, LooksMax AI, Mogged, Qoves, and the original you copied, each one tuned to rank for "[competitor] alternative" and "vs [competitor]". On top of that it spins up a large blog cluster on every long-tail question in the niche, all interlinked.

Comparison and alternative searches are the highest-intent traffic on the internet. Someone typing "best [tool] alternative" is ready to switch. You build the page that answers that exact search and you catch them at the moment they are looking.

How it goes viral

Every result a user generates is one-tap shareable, and gets its own permanent, indexable page with a "make your own" button and a clean branded preview image. If the niche fits, it adds a public leaderboard or battle so people share to climb it.

That is the loop: every user who shares a result creates a new page that ranks and pulls in the next user, for free.

One rule

Use this to build your own product, not to pass off someone else's brand as yours. Rebuild the idea and the functionality, never the name, logo, copy, or trademarks. Keep every comparison honest, lopsided fake ones get filtered by Google and burn trust, win on what you genuinely do better. If your app gives financial, medical, or legal output, label it as educational and not professional advice.

Frequently asked questions

No. You paste one prompt and Emergent builds, wires, and ships the whole thing. You just give it the target URL and, if you want, your brand name. Here are the AI coding tools I actually use.

You rebuild the idea and the functionality, never the brand, logo, copy, or trademarks. Make it your own and keep your comparisons honest. This is about building your own better product, not ripping one off.

It builds the full pricing, upgrade, and billing flow in test mode, so the moment you drop in your own Stripe keys it can take real recurring payments. Nothing to set up upfront.

Use TrustMRR to see which apps are actually making money, sort by revenue, and pick a profitable one with a clear core feature that is easy to rebuild.

It decides every setup choice for you, brand, AI model, payments in test mode, auth, and database, so the builder never stops to ask and just ships. Then it builds the versus pages and blogs to outrank the original.
