Make Your Own Insane Edit With Claude + Katana

I used a car for the example. You can start with your own photos, a product shoot, or a talking-head clip. Here is the setup and the exact command to try.

Start here

Open Higgsfield through my link and sign in. Then open Claude. You need the Higgsfield connection enabled before the prompt can use its tools.

⚡ Open Higgsfield and check your trial offer

The video mentions a 3-day MCP trial for new users. Check the offer shown in your account before activating it. Eligibility and included usage can change. Connecting the tool does not automatically activate a trial.

Connect Higgsfield to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors. Some versions show this under Customize → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and name it Higgsfield.
  3. Paste https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp into the server URL field.
  4. Connect, sign in to Higgsfield, and authorize the connection.
  5. Return to a Claude chat and make sure Higgsfield is enabled.

If you cannot find the connector option, check the features available on your Claude account. Start on desktop if the mobile menu is different.

Drop in your photo and video

Attach a clear photo of you or your subject, plus the raw video you want to edit. Add your reference video too if you have permission to use it. Explain which parts you like, such as the pace or transitions.

For the car example, the photo establishes the look. The video gives the edit real movement. Use your own footage or licensed assets. Remove license plates and any branding you do not want in the output.

Paste the simple command

Keep the first instruction simple. The required opening is Use Higgsfield MCP /katana. With your files attached, paste this:

Copy-paste this
Use Higgsfield MCP /katana to make an insane edit of me and my car. Use the attached photo and video as the reference. Make it vertical, open with the strongest shot, and keep each shot under 3 seconds. Keep my appearance and the car color consistent. Hide the license plate and remove visible brand logos. Show me the assembled edit.

Make the boring-to-insane transition

Once you have a first result, give one specific note. Compare the new version with the old one before asking for more changes.

Copy-paste this
Start with a short ordinary shot from my raw footage. Then put KATANA ON over the first cinematic shot with a quick screen shake and a sound hit. Cut into the finished edit. Use different angles instead of repeating the same clip. Keep music low enough for my voiceover. Do not add captions.

Use it for a talking-head video too

You can use the same workflow with a clip of yourself explaining something. Attach the clip and try this instead:

Copy-paste this
Use Higgsfield MCP /katana to edit this talking-head video for Instagram. Cut dead space and keep my spoken words in order. Add simple animated graphics that match what I am explaining. Keep my voice clear. Show the finished vertical edit, then let me give one revision note.

Check the result before posting

Watch the actual downloaded export. Check faces, hands, badges and license plates during transitions too. Listen to the audio all the way through. Generated shots can drift from your reference, so ask for corrections where needed.

If you are recording your voiceover later, ask for no baked-in captions and a quieter music bed. For a guide CTA, put COMMENT KATANA over moving result footage instead of switching to a blank card.

If Claude only gives you instructions

Check that Higgsfield is enabled in the conversation, then ask it to use the connected tools and produce the edit. If the /katana workflow is unavailable, ask what editing workflows your connection supports. Do not assume a text response means a video has been rendered.
